Signs along the inner pupillary border (IPB), read across 26 mirror-symmetric spaces — each linked to a spinal vertebra, organ zones and physical, psychological and emotional themes. Based on Dr. Lo Rito's Space Risk research.
Overview
Space Risk reads the narrow band just outside the pupil. It works on a straight-ahead iris photo, and best on a dedicated IPB closeup board — a macro of the pupillary border, one per eye, which opens directly in Space Risk view. Space Risk comes with the Pro plan — on a Pro clinic the view appears for every practitioner automatically.
The 26 spaces
The pupillary border divides into 26 spaces. The right half of the dial covers 0→180° clockwise from 12 o'clock; the left half mirrors it. Each space carries a vertebra — running C1 at the top through the thoracic and lumbar spine to the sacrum and coccyx at the bottom — its organ zones, and a display colour. This is the app's actual reference data:
Each space also carries curated physical, psychological and emotional checklists, ticked per image in the Space Risk panel. Space 0 is the birth-trauma sentinel — placed from the panel, not the dial.
Signs & shapes
Two catalogues describe what occupies a space:
- Ten IPB signs — the border's behaviour at that point: Absence, Cat scratch, Extroflection, Hollow, Hypertrophy, Introflexion, Pigmentation, Revealed, Sinking and Stair step.
- 71 IPB shapes — the forms the border draws, in three groups (shapes, singulars and letters): Horn of Aries, Anchor-shaped, Braid, Buttonhole, Crack/Fissure, letterforms and dozens more.
A dedicated birth trauma entry (space 0) sits outside the numbered dial and records the birth event itself.
Placing IPB markings
Space Risk markings are arcs, not points: click where the sign begins along the pupillary border, then click where it ends. The marking records both ends, resolves which spaces the arc crosses, and attaches the signs and shapes you pick from the catalogue.
Space checklists
Every space carries curated text checklists from the source research — physical, psychological, emotional (positive and negative) and the vertebra's own theme. In the Space Risk panel you tick the statements that resonate for this client; ticked statements are saved with the image and carried into the report.
