Working with models.

A model is a complete reading system on the canvas — its own maps, sign catalogue, panel tools and report sections. This page covers what all models share; each model then has its own reference page.

What a model is

Iridology is not one method: the classic organ-zone reading, Dr. Lo Rito's Time Risk and Space Risk research, sclerology and the relational Iridology & Love map each look at the same eye through a different lens. CosmicIris keeps every method — every model — on the same canvas, on the same client, so readings can be layered and reasoned about together.

Practically, a model is a view mode. The view switch in the canvas toolbar changes which model you're reading in, and with it the map overlays, what a click on the image means, which side-panel tabs appear, and what lands in the report.

Availability

Every clinic starts with Classic, Time Risk and Sclerology. Space Risk and Iridology & Love come with the Pro plan — upgrade the clinic and both switch on for every practitioner in it. Classic is special: it is the canvas's fallback view and is never switched off.

The eye type decides

Models don't compete for the same photograph — the eye type of each board (set in the Eye tab) determines which models can read it. A straight-ahead iris photo carries most models; a sclera gaze belongs to Sclerology alone; the two closeup types exist for exactly one model each.

Maps & layers

Models draw their zones from bundled research maps, aligned to the detected iris, collarette and pupil circles. The Layers tab toggles them:

• BJI — the Bernard Jensen classic organ map.
• Lo Rito Birello — the Lo Rito classic map.
• Sclerology — the sclera quadrant map, in Sclerology view.

Hovering the image reads the map under the cursor — a coloured dot, the map's name and the organ zone. Where zones overlap, the smallest and most specific zone wins the tooltip.

How markings work

A marking is one placed finding: where you clicked, the signs you chose from the model's catalogue, and the organ zones under it. All models share this one mechanism, then add their own meaning — Classic adds perifocal lightening/darkening, Time Risk adds the age and trauma details, Space Risk records an arc along the pupillary border rather than a point.

• Markings live on the board (per image, per client) and sync like everything else.
• Each marking can carry its own rich-text note, included in the report.
• Related markings can be linked as neighbours and read as one finding.

The five models
