The classic iridology reading: iris signs mapped onto physical organ zones to surface constitution, structure and risk factors. Classic is the canvas's home view — every iris photo opens in it.
Overview
Classic works on straight-ahead iris photographs. It is a structured evaluation against the established physical maps — Lo Rito, Jensen and others — covering the constitution, fibre structure, diathesis, collarette and pupil, plus point findings ("markings") placed where you see signs. Classic is never switched off: whenever another model doesn't apply, the canvas falls back to it.
Maps
Two organ-zone maps ship with Classic, toggled in the Layers tab — BJI (Bernard Jensen) and Lo Rito Birello. Show one, both or neither; hovering the iris names the organ zone under the cursor for every visible map. A marking placed over a zone records that organ automatically.
The evaluation
The Classic panel carries the whole-iris evaluation form, in tabs: Main Constitution, Sub-Constitution, Diathesis, Nutritive Zone, Collarette, Pupil, Body systems and Physical Axis.
- Main constitution — lymphatic, biliary or hematogenic, refined by sub-constitution types (neurogenic, connective-tissue, anxiety-tetanic, polyglandular, tuberculin) and diathesis.
- Collarette — colour, quality, shape and placement of the collarette, the stomach ring and related nutritive-zone properties.
- Pupil — tonus and deformation: miosis/mydriasis, ellipses by axis, flatnesses, hippus and the pupillary ruff.
Most properties are set once per client, but the form has a Both / Left / Right switch — some properties genuinely differ between the eyes, and the evaluation records them per side.
Signs & markings
Click anywhere on the iris to place a marking. The picker opens on the Classic sign catalogue, organised by category — each with its own selection rule. This is the actual catalogue, live:
In the app the marking lands where you clicked on the iris, its organ targets resolve from the map zone under it, and Ctrl+click on a sign saves the marking in one step.

Body systems & axes
Beyond point findings, Classic lets you flag whole body systems — fourteen of them, from cardiovascular to integumentary; the lymphatic and skin systems render as concentric zone rings rather than sectors. The physical axes connect organ groups across the iris: the immune, stress and thyroid axes, each drawn with its own colour and organ list.
